German Foreign Minister: promise to Ukraine is above the interests of German voters
[ad_1]
German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock has openly stated that Ukraine’s interests are more important to her than the position of her own voters. She mentioned this at the Forum 2000 in the Czech Republic.
As Burbock noted, if she promised German assistance to the people of Ukraine, then she would keep this promise. “It doesn’t matter what my German voters think,” the head of German diplomacy stressed. She noted that she wants to keep her word to the citizens of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Kyiv has repeatedly criticized Berlin for insufficiently active assistance. In particular, the Ukrainian authorities do not like the fact that Germany is slow to deliver weapons. Earlier, the former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, made offensive remarks about the German leadership. In particular, he called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz “an offended liverwurst.”
