Gas supply was restored in Melitopol, said the Acting Governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevhen Balitsky. According to him, the heating season in the region “goes according to plan.”
“In the Zaporozhye region, the gradual connection of settlements to gas supply continues. In Melitopol, gas has already been supplied. Today, the connection of schools, hospitals, multi-apartment and private sectors of Melitopol has begun, ”said Yevgeny Balitsky (quoted from TASS). He added that the heating season is “going according to plan.”
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed decrees on the entry of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, as well as the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions of Ukraine into Russia. Ukraine and other countries of the world did not recognize the accession of new regions and called it annexation. Russian troops control only part of the Zaporozhye region. Melitopol was made the capital of the Russian part of the region.
