Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner confirms divorce from husband

British actress Sophie Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, has confirmed media reports of her divorce from American musician Joe Jonas.
Each of the spouses published an identical statement on their social networks, in which the couple confirms the fact that the divorce proceedings have begun, thanks each other for several years of a happy life together and assures that the decision was made mutually, and various speculations are unfounded.
“We hope that everyone will respect our desire to maintain privacy for ourselves and our children,” the statement said.
Turner and Jonas started dating in 2016, announced their engagement a year later, and got married in May 2019. In June 2020 and 2022, two daughters were born in the family.
In recent days, the English-language media wrote that the husband allegedly initiated the divorce. It was alleged that the crisis in the family came at least six months ago and that the father allegedly had to take care of his daughters while their mother was carried away by social events and personal affairs.
