Advisor to the Acting Head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, said that Ukrainian troops managed to enter the village of Urozhaynoye in the DPR through colossal losses.
According to Gagin, the Ukrainian troops during the assault lost about 150 personnel and dozens of pieces of military equipment, including Western ones.
“Now there is still a battle going on, we have not left the village, our artillery is actively working,” Gagin said, adding that it would be difficult for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to gain a foothold in the village. He also called it a big question how, after these hostilities, the settlement will be suitable for holding it.
He also explained that now the Ukrainian command has to gather more and more forces to Urozhaynoye, deliver supplies, and try to form a full-fledged fortified area. All this, he said, draws forces from other directions.
Gagin drew attention to the fact that during the retreat, the Ukrainian military did not take away not only the bodies of their dead comrades, but also the wounded who could be saved.
