The owner of the English football club (FC) Everton Farhad Moshiri may sell it to the American businessman Maciek Kaminsky, reports Financial Times (FT) citing sources. The deal is valued at around £400m.
According to the publication, in recent days, negotiations have “moved forward.” However, as FT interlocutors specify, there is no certainty in concluding a deal. They explained that the negotiations are complicated by the instability of the financial market in the UK. In addition, the deal will have to get the approval of the English Premier League.
Mr Moshiri acquired a 49.9% stake in Everton in 2016. By 2019, its share increased to 77.2%. This season the team is 13th in the standings with seven points.
