The FSB of Russia opened a criminal case of espionage against a US citizen who was collecting information “on biological topics.” About it reported on the FSB website.
“The American is suspected of collecting intelligence information on biological topics directed against the security of the Russian Federation,” the report said.
It is specified that the case was initiated under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the maximum punishment for which is imprisonment for up to 20 years.
January 17 FSB reported about the detention of a 28-year-old citizen of one of the CIS countries, who tried to cross the border of North Ossetia and Georgia. He is suspected of spying for Ukraine. A criminal case was also opened against him under Art. 276 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
