Frosts at night expect a number of regions of Russia in August

According to the forecasts of the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand, until the end of August, night frosts of up to minus one degree are expected in the Nizhny Novgorod region, as well as cooling in the south of the Urals and in Transbaikalia. However, in the south of European Russia and in the regions of the Siberian Federal District, the weather will be above average. He shared this information with TASS.

“In the south of the Ural Range, rains are expected, sometimes heavy, with winds up to 18 m / s, and sometimes up to 22 m / s, as well as low temperatures. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, in areas adjacent to the Volga River, night frosts are expected to minus one degrees before the end of the working week. In Transbaikalia, frosts are also expected to minus two degrees,” the expert explained.

Vilfand also noted that in the Altai Territory, Irkutsk and Kemerovo regions, Krasnoyarsk and Khakassia, the air temperature will be above 30 degrees during the working week, and in Tyva even above 35 degrees. “The average daily temperature exceeds the climatic norm by 7-9 degrees, which is also a dangerous phenomenon. High hot weather can have a negative impact on a person,” he added.

The meteorologist also noted that in the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea, the air temperature is expected to rise by 2-3 degrees above the norm, ranging from 29 to 34 degrees. The water temperature will be 25 degrees in Feodosia, 26 degrees in Alushta and Yalta, 27 degrees in Tuapse and Gelendzhik, and 28 degrees in Sochi.
