More than 2 thousand people and 260 pieces of equipment were withdrawn from the Ryazan region due to the stabilization of the situation with fires. The authorities plan that another group of firefighters will soon be withdrawn from the area. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia Sergey Anoprienko.

“We have withdrawn more than 2,000 people and 260 pieces of equipment. This measure was proposed by the operational headquarters and the government commission. It was supported. Today we will form the next list for additional withdrawal of the group, and tomorrow we will consider it at the government commission. The situation is stabilized, localized, absolutely controllable. There are places where we still have to work, but this amount of work is absolutely clear to us, ”said Mr. Anoprienko (quoted from TASS).

The Ministry of Natural Resources also reported that the fire is spreading through young growth and wetlands. As a result, a lot of smoke is generated, which makes it difficult for ground groups to extinguish fires. Now aviation is engaged in extinguishing such areas.

Forest fires began in the region in August. By August 27, the area of ​​fires in the region was 19 thousand hectares. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin sent about 9,000 firefighters to the region.
