By the decision of the government of Ukraine, borders will be opened for certain categories of Ukrainian men of military age from September 1, Ukrainian Telegram channels report.
Those companies where the average salary is at least 20 thousand hryvnias, there are no tax arrears and problems with reporting will be able to get the go-ahead for the departure of employees. No more than 10% of the workforce (but no more than 10 people) can go on a business trip abroad at the same time and for no longer than 7 days.
It also provides for a deposit of UAH 200,000 to an escrow account with Oschadbank. The authorities promise to return the money to companies after they return to Ukraine. In case of violation of the conditions for departure, the deposit will go to the needs of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and the company will never again be able to issue new permits for the departure of employees abroad, and already existing permits will be canceled.
Rostyslav Kravets, head of the Kravets and Partners law firm, said that Kyiv is actually launching a paid travel of people abroad. He also predicts that a new scheme for the departure of men of military age will appear along with the existing ones.
“Banks will start issuing loans in the amount of 200,000 for exit collateral. Here is the long-awaited stimulation of lending, ”wrote Vasily Horbal, a member of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine, with irony.
In Ukraine, they also predicted the flight of IT employees, for whom 200 thousand hryvnias is not the largest amount.
