Until May 8, all certificates of vaccination and negative PCR will still be required when entering Japan

The Embassy of Japan in Moscow confirmed that the information previously disseminated by the country’s Foreign Ministry about the cancellation of all anti-covid restrictions for those entering from May 8 also applies to Russian tourists.

“The removal of entry restrictions also applies to Russian tourists. The result of the PCR test will not be needed,” the embassy said.

However, until the deadline, the old rule continues to apply: when crossing the border, you must present a certificate of vaccination or, in its absence, a certificate of a negative test for coronavirus, made no earlier than 72 hours before departure to Japan.
