Those wishing to move to Russia from January 1 will have to confirm their knowledge of the Russian language
From January 1, compatriots living abroad and wishing to move to our country will have to document their knowledge of the Russian language when submitting applications.
Proficiency in the Russian language at a level sufficient for communication orally and in writing will become a condition for accepting applications from compatriots who are not citizens of the Russian Federation, the republics of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Ukraine, according to a decree of the Russian government published on the legal information portal.
You can confirm your language proficiency with a standard document or its duplicate, confirming receipt of education in Russia (after September 1, 1991). This can be done with the help of an education document issued in a foreign country where Russian is one of the state languages, as well as a decision of the commission based on the results of the interview.
