Freezing rain possible on November 22 in Moscow

Freezing rain may begin in the capital on the morning of November 22. This was announced by the leading employee of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.

“In Moscow, freezing rain and grains will begin at 09:00 Tuesday and continue until noon. Roads and sidewalks will be covered with ice up to 6 mm thick. wrote meteorologist in his telegram channel.

Meanwhile, the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation is more cautious in its forecasts, although the “yellow” level of weather danger was introduced in the city from today until noon on Wednesday, November 23. According to weather forecasters, there will indeed be precipitation in Moscow. But the forecasts for Tuesday, November 22, indicate that sleet will pass in the capital, which will begin to fall at night and may turn into rain within a day. It is also expected to increase the wind up to 15 m/s and sleet. At the same time, the temperature at night will be -3…-1°, during the day it is expected to be -2…0°.

On Wednesday, November 23, precipitation will not be as intense as the day before, but will also fall in the form of snow and rain. At night the temperature in Moscow is -2…0°, in the daytime -1…1°.

On Thursday, November 24, it will get colder to -4…-2° at night and to -3…-1° during the day. If it snows, it won’t be very heavy.

Friday, November 25, mostly rainless in Moscow. At night -7…-2°, in the daytime -3…2°. About the same weather, according to weather forecasts, is expected at the weekend, although the probability of rain with snow is slightly higher than on Friday.

At the same time, the danger of black ice remains in the capital all week. Therefore, both drivers and pedestrians should be more careful.
