Fraudsters posing as high-ranking officials detained in Moscow

Employees of the FSB of Russia, together with law enforcement agencies, detained five citizens in Moscow who presented themselves as officials and sold appointments to public positions. This was announced by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, in an interview with “Lentoy.ru”.
The bodies noted that the false officials were called by false names and said that they occupy high-ranking positions. They were going to help the victim get a job in public service for a monetary reward. They also offered to assist in obtaining a state land plot for construction. We are talking about the amount of 180 million rubles.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. Some of the detainees pleaded guilty.
