Four teams of basketball players will represent the region in the finals of the championship of the Northwestern Federal District of the IES-BASKET School Basketball League. “MK in Pskov” was informed about this by the press service of the government of the Pskov region.
The championship will be attended by the winners of the regional stage of the competition – the women’s team of the Loknyanskaya Secondary Educational School and the youth team of the Pskov Technical Lyceum, as well as the silver medalists of the region: basketball players from the secondary school No. 1 of the city of Ostrov and young men from the Velikolukskaya Gymnasium named after S. Kovalevskaya.
24 teams will take part in the fight for medals, cups and a ticket to the super final of the IES-BASKET ShBL championship. The qualifying games will be held at the sports grounds of the Bars Olympic Reserve Sports School and the Olympus Sports Complex from March 19 to 23.
The final games and award ceremony will be held on March 23 at the Olympus sports complex. In addition to the awards ceremony, the final day will include basketball competitions for the championship participants and spectators. They will enjoy rich audio accompaniment and special quizzes with gifts from the championship partners. Competition participants will communicate with famous athletes. Politicians and public figures from the Pskov region will take to the site.
