Three villages and a settlement in the Kursk region were left without electricity after shelling from Ukraine, there were no casualties among the residents, reported regional governor Roman Starovoit in his Telegram channel.
The Glushkovsky district was attacked on the afternoon of October 14, the head of the region specified. As a result, the village of Tetkino and the villages of Korovyakovka, Alekseevka and Popovo-Lezhachi were cut off.
“After the explosion, dry grass caught fire, which was quickly extinguished by the fire crew,” the governor wrote.
On October 13, during shelling from Ukraine in the village of Kozino, Rylsky district, there was damaged school building. There were no injuries, since classes are not currently being held at the institution, Starovoit said. On the same day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the village of Popovo-Lezhachi, Glushkovsky district, and the village was left without electricity.
On October 5, authorities reported an attack by Ukrainian drones on infrastructure facilities in three districts of the Kursk region: Sudzhansky, Korenevsky and Glushkovsky. On the same day, Starovoit spoke about the shelling of the city of Rylsk with cluster munitions. As a result of the attack, a local resident received shrapnel wounds.
In the Kursk region, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat remains in effect indefinitely. Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in the region.
