The Sarajevo Times newspaper, citing the Croatian Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, reported that for the first time in many years, four herring kings were spotted on the Adriatic coast in winter. This is a giant ray-finned fish of the family of thorax. In the Philippines, locals call fish a harbinger of disasters and imminent cataclysms.
The article states that three fish on the shore were dead, and another – in the larval stage – was alive.
According to journalists, this fish was spotted only three times in the Adriatic. This semi-deep-sea fish rarely appears on the surface of the water.
