Former UK health minister stripped of party titles for appearing on reality show

On Tuesday, November 1, former British Health Secretary Matt Hancock was expelled from the Tory parliamentary party after agreeing to star in the television show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. This is reported Daily Mail.
The former head of the Ministry of Health resigned after he violated his self-isolation rules because of an affair with his longtime assistant Jna Kolagzhelo. Hancock will be the 12th celebrity to venture into the Australian jungle as part of the show.
As a result, this news caused a rebuke from the top leadership of the parliamentary party, and the head of the party, Simon Hart, announced that he had been stripped of his party titles. A similar fate befell fellow MP Nadine Dorris when she took part in the show in 2012.
“After speaking with Matt Hancock, I have thought about the situation and I believe that this is a serious enough matter to immediately suspend the title,” Hart said.
