Former State Duma deputy Adrian Puzanovsky died at the age of 82, said current vice-speaker of the lower house of parliament Sergei Neverov. Mr. Puzanovsky was elected to the first three convocations of the State Duma.
“Andrian Puzanovsky has passed away. Deputy of the first three convocations of the State Duma. We worked together in the People’s Deputy, he represented the interests of residents of the Kostroma region. A bright, sympathetic person,” wrote Sergei Neverov in Telegram channel. According to him, Adrian Puzanovsky died on October 21. The cause of death of the politician, the time, place of farewell and funeral are not specified.
Mr. Puzanovsky was first elected to the State Duma in 1993 from the Dignity and Mercy movement. In 1995, he was elected to the second convocation of the State Duma from the Agrarian Party. In 1999, he was elected as a self-nominated single-mandate; in the third convocation of the State Duma, he was part of the “People’s Deputy” group (it was headed by deputy Gennady Raikov, dead September 28).
In the 2000s he consisted in the United Russia party, but he was no longer able to get elected to the State Duma. In recent years, he has been involved in teaching and was a professor at the Department of World Economics at the Russian State Trade and Economic University.
