The lawyer’s sentence turned out to be quite lenient
The verdict in the case of a lawyer who tried to destroy his client’s phone was announced on Monday, October 9, in the Meshchansky District Court of the capital. The smartphone was used as evidence in the case of trafficking in components for weapons of mass destruction, which was dealt with by the FSB.
Let us remind you that the incident happened in September last year. Then a lawyer from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Konstantin Tyganov, wanting to help his client, came to Moscow and, in the building of the capital’s FSB Directorate, in front of the employees, tried to destroy his client’s smartphone.
The phone contained valuable information on the case. Apparently, the lawyer had no other ways to protect his client.
The attacker cut himself, but was unable to complete his plan and was stopped. As a result, he was hospitalized and needed the services of a lawyer himself.
As the press service of the Meshchansky District Court told MK, Tyganov was fined 50 thousand rubles. A rather mild punishment, considering that for his crime he could have been sent to a pre-trial detention center for six months.
By the way, previously Konstantin Tyganov himself stood guard of the law, in particular, he headed the Nadym interdistrict investigative department of the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
