Former Vladivostok Duma deputy Viktor Kamenshchikov was released from immigration prison and received political asylum in the United States. He reported this in his Telegram channel.
“I am free, received asylum and now I can be a full member of American society,” wrote Mr. Kamenshchikov, specifying that he is currently in Miami, Florida.
On the detention of Viktor Kamenshchikov at the US border while trying to cross it illegally became known in May. After that, the politician was placed in an immigration prison in Arizona.
