The former deputy head of the Ministry of Health of Dagestan was arrested by a court decision in a case of bribery in the amount of 86 million rubles, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a message from the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
Reportedly, the investigation requested such a preventive measure. According to her version, the person involved in the case from January 2019 to December 2021 received bribes from an individual entrepreneur in the amount of 10% of the total amount of each government contract for the supply of medical equipment. According to investigators, the ex-official became richer than 87.7 million rubles thanks to this.
The report says that criminal cases have also been initiated against those involved in the case under Part 4 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Mediation in bribery”) and Part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Giving a bribe”).
RIA Novosti, citing a source, also reports that we are talking about a man named Mazai Ramazanov. He was relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Dagestan in January 2022.
