The former commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel General Vladimir Shamanov, commented on the appearance of a video with Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner PMC fighters, which reports that the group is waiting for a “new path to Africa”, but a return to the NVO zone is not ruled out.
Shamans brought in broadcast NSN data that 32-33 thousand former fighters of the Wagner PMC signed contracts with the Ministry of Defense, and from 7 to 10 thousand people left for Belarus with Prigozhin.
The general added that if there is an opportunity for the “Wagnerites” to return to participate in a special operation, then this opportunity should be used.
At the same time, Shamanov recalled the effectiveness of the group’s conduct of hostilities in Artemovsk and stressed that they were citizens of Russia.
At the same time, he also approved the relocation of Wagner PMC to Belarus, noting that there are many positive positions there in terms of the creation of a new group by Russia.
