Foreigners entering the Russian Federation may be required to sign a loyalty agreement

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid Kalashnikov told reporters that foreigners entering Russia will be required to sign a loyalty agreement. This norm can be introduced by the draft law on migration developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“This bill, developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, mentions a loyalty agreement, which stipulates that a foreign citizen, by signing it, agrees that he can be expelled from the Russian Federation and his entry into the Russian Federation in the future limited if he violates something while in Russia.” , said Mr. Kalashnikov (quoted by Interfax). According to him, the initiative is under consideration by the government.
