Foreign Ministry: Russia has denied entry to a number of Moldovan officials
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on its website saying that Moldovan Ambassador Lilian Darius was summoned to the department today.
A strong protest was lodged against him due to the continued persecution of Russian-language media in the republic. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that this persecution is politically motivated. In particular, Russian-language media are blocked from accessing their websites.
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasizes that, as an asymmetrical response measure, a decision was made to block the entry into the Russian Federation for a number of Moldovan officials.
