Previously, the G7 coordinated positions on various issues on the world agenda, but now “it has turned into an incubator where, under the leadership of the Anglo-Saxons, destructive initiatives that undermine global stability are ripening,” the department added.
They said that the G7 was no longer able to offer “anything creative”, and criticized the fear of the G7 countries before “the process of establishing multipolarity and destroying US-centric hegemony.” The Foreign Ministry called the “Group of Seven” the main factor in exacerbating global problems and added that the assessments of the Russian side regarding the G7 are supported by the “majority” of the world’s countries.
The summit of G7 leaders was held in the Japanese city of Hiroshima from May 19 to 21. In addition to the G7 countries, India, Australia, Brazil, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Cook Islands and the Comoros also received an invitation to the event. In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Japan on May 21 to meet with US President Joe Biden.
