Russian Foreign Ministry: G7 summit resulted in passages of an anti-Russian and anti-Chinese character
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the outcome of the G7 meeting in Hiroshima was “a set of statements saturated with odious passages of an anti-Russian, as well as an anti-Chinese character.” This is stated in an extensive statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry, published on Sunday on the agency’s website.
Here are just some of the highlights of this statement. It notes that the countries that have gathered in Japan for the meeting “do not hesitate to flirt with non-Western states in order to win them over to their side, to prevent the development of ties with Russia and China.”
The attempts of the G-7 countries to “present themselves as champions of law and justice in international affairs” were called “a mockery of history and common sense” in the Russian diplomatic department.
They also noted that the Hiroshima summit “showed that the association has irreversibly degraded” into an incubator where, under the leadership of the Anglo-Saxons, destructive initiatives that undermine global stability mature, which are then “imposed on the pro-American extras from among the countries of NATO, the EU and other satellites of Washington.”
The Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that the G7 was obsessed with confrontation with Russia and assumed the functions of a headquarters for planning sanctions measures and other elements of a hybrid war against the Russian Federation.
“This is the meaning of the existence of the association today,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
