In the last days of the year, thaw and sleet are expected in the capital, and visibility will deteriorate due to thick fogs. Evgeny Tishkovets, the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, told about this.
From Thursday until the end of 2022, according to forecasts of meteorologists, the average daily temperature will be 4-6 degrees higher than long-term indicators. “Due to thick haze and advective fog, visibility will deteriorate,” said Tishkovets. “There will be a slight thaw and sleet.”
The beginning of the week will be marked by an increase in cold, at night frosts will seriously get stronger – up to minus 7-12 degrees. At the same time, cloudy weather will continue, but precipitation is unlikely. On Tuesday, snowstorms are expected in the capital, the maximum daily temperature will rise to 0 – minus 5 degrees.
“Wednesday will be the most rainy,” says Tishkovets. A warm atmospheric front will bring real snowfalls with it. As a result, the snow cover will grow from the current 22 to 25 centimeters.
