Drivers who are heading to the Crimea via a ferry crossing, while waiting for their turn, can rest at 19 temporary parking lots organized in the Kuban. This was reported to Interfax on Monday by the press service of the Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergencies of the Krasnodar Territory.
According to the interlocutor of the agency, there are 7 parking lots in the Temryuk district, two in the Slavyansky district and one more in the Krasnoarmeisky district.
“Another nine parking lots have been prepared in the Crimean region,” the Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the region noted.
It is specified that the sites that have been prepared in the Krymsky district can accommodate 575 cars.
In total, the reserve parking lots of Kuban can simultaneously accommodate over 3 thousand cars. People will find heating, field kitchens, toilets there. Most camps have canteens and hotels.
The press service of the administration of the Krasnodar Territory reported that the number of employees from all departments involved in the inspection of transport will be increased at checkpoints.
A statement is cited by the head of the FSB of Russia for the region, Sergei Zakharikhin, in his words, “responsibility for the inspection lies with the security forces.”
Zakharikhin also said that “this work must be carried out quickly and efficiently,” and the main task now is to unload the traffic jam at the bridge.
He noted that FSB checkpoints had already been strengthened and the heads of all departments were also asked to increase the number of employees and the pace of inspections.
Earlier it was reported that a traffic jam from trucks and cars accumulates on the roads of the Kuban near the Crimean bridge due to a thorough inspection of vehicles, as well as weather conditions that slow down the operation of the crossing.
In the Temryuk region, there is a “yellow” level of terrorist danger, which was announced after the explosion of the Crimean bridge on October 8 by the governor of the Kuban, Veniamin Kondratiev.
