FOM: every fourth Russian has noted an increase in the cost of housing and communal services over the past month

Almost a quarter of Russians (23%) have noticed an increase in prices for housing and communal services over the past four weeks. This is evidenced data survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM).
Every sixth respondent (16%) answered that the prices for medical services had grown the most, every tenth noted an increase in the price of personal services (10%). The increase in fares in passenger transport was noted by 9% of respondents.
The second increase in tariffs for housing and communal services in Russia this year happened December 1. The maximum level of tariff indexation should be 9%. The next tariff increase is due in July 2024. On average in Russia, since July 1, the price of liquefied gas has increased by 4.8%, electricity – by 4.6%, hot water and heating – by 4.1%, cold water – by 4%.
