Folk omens: October 3 – follow the wind and chop cabbage

The wind on this day was usually especially strong and also had magical properties – the girls were advised not to go outside until lunch, so as not to “blow the beauty off their faces.”
By the way, the sign of a strong wind was confirmed at the Hydrometeorological Center: on October 3, according to forecasts, wind with gusts of up to 18 meters per second is expected. So it will not be difficult to determine its direction on your own. And at the same time – and check whether the people’s forecasts related to this are correct. Remember: if the wind blows from the north – it’s cold, if from the south – to heat, the west wind – to rain, and the east – to clear weather. And if there is still no wind that day, then it may snow.
On October 3, to protect against future misfortunes, it was necessary to air the clothes on the street. The main thing is to fix it better so that it does not fly away.
