The Russian Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA) is developing a line of test systems for PCR analysis of all viruses known to medicine, said Veronika Skvortsova, head of the agency. She did not specify at what stage of development the systems are and when they will go on sale.
“The Center for Strategic Planning creates a whole line of high-quality test systems for PCR analysis of all known viruses in general,” Ms. Skvortsova told reporters (quoted by TASS).
In July FMBA announced on the creation of a test system for the detection of monkeypox. A week before the announcement of the development of a test system in Russia, revealed the first case of infection with a new infection thanks to the test system of the Vector Center.
