Florida refuses to help Trump’s possible extradition, governor says

According to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, he is not going to assist in a possible extradition request for former US President Donald Trump due to the dubious circumstances of the case. Earlier it was reported that a grand jury in New York voted to indict Trump. However, the charges can only be announced when Trump appears in court, and likely relate to the case of pornographic actress Stormy Daniels.
In a statement, DeSantis alleges that the Manhattan prosecutor is breaking the law to attack his political opponent. “Florida will not assist in an extradition request due to dubious circumstances related to the Manhattan prosecutor and his political agenda,” DeSantis wrote on his Twitter account.
Rhona DeSantis is considered one of Donald Trump’s main rivals in the 2024 primaries. In Florida, there is a private residence of Mar-a-Lago, which, according to official documents, is the permanent residence of Trump and his family.
