The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in a publication on its telegram channel, reported that Russian troops successfully repelled an attack by superior forces of Ukrainian attack aircraft in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction near the village of Urozhainoye.
A message from the Russian military department says that a unit of the 37th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces, under the leadership of a deputy platoon commander with the call sign “Bolshoi,” repelled an attack by several times superior forces of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Urozhaynoye in the Yuzhnodonetsk direction.
The ministry noted that five Russian servicemen, two of whom were wounded in battle, confronted 12 attack aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As noted by the Ministry of Defense, the unit commander took on the main heat of the battle, taking a position in full view of the enemy and conducting constant aimed fire at him, and two more Russian soldiers fired at the enemy from the flanks from dugouts.
The department indicated that the Russian military were awarded the Order of Courage for their courage and professionalism.
