First-graders will start practicing sambo in Tobolsk

From September 1, on the basis of school No. 16, sambist, winner of regional and interregional competitions, winner of regional and interregional competitions Mikhail Sitnikov, who arrived in Tobolsk from Kurgan, will conduct classes with first-graders.

The head of Tobolsk Maxim Afanasyev wrote about this in his telegram channel.

“By national sports, one can judge the character of the entire nation. Sambo is self-defense without weapons, the strategy of which is to deprive the opponent of the possibility of resistance. In other words, gently but firmly end the conflict. At the same time, sambo, like any other martial art, first of all teaches to enter into this very conflict only in case of emergency. Or in defense of the weak,” the mayor expressed his opinion.

In his opinion, this sport builds character.

“It’s great that, thanks to the instructions of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, our children will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the philosophy of this sport from early childhood,” the mayor wrote.

Maxim Afanasiev added that Alexander Kudryavtsev, who came from Tyumen specifically to strengthen this direction, has been developing sambo in Tobolsk since 2020.

Aleksey Kochetov is working on the education of sambo wrestlers on the basis of his Judo Center.

In addition, Anastasia Pervukhina, winner of all-Russian and international judo competitions, will also work in the direction of sambo at the Youth Sports School No. 1 on the basis of the Leader Sports Complex.

“Here is such a powerful team we will be engaged in the development of this most important area,” Maxim Afanasiev summed up.

Recall that last year a new sports holiday appeared in the country – Sambo Day. It will be celebrated on November 16th. On December 19, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a new holiday established to promote and develop SAMBO.
