During the day, the fire area in the Beloretsky district of Bashkiria increased four times, up to 320 hectares, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the republic reported. Due to the increase in wind up to 25 m/s, the fire began to spread in the direction of the villages of Aznagulovo and Katarysh, located 7 and 5 km from the fire site, respectively.
Firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the villages, the report says. At night, the second echelon of an airmobile group consisting of 34 people and 3 pieces of equipment left Ufa to protect them. Groups of the Ministry of Forestry of Bashkiria, the region and the state committee of the republic for emergency situations are also participating in the extinguishing.
An emergency regime has been established within the borders of the Sermenevsky and Uzyansky village councils. In total, 163 people and 22 pieces of equipment are working to extinguish the fire, including three bulldozers and a KA-32 helicopter.
A forest fire broke out on July 7 in a remote mountainous area near the village of Uzyan.
