Famed French writer Milan Kundera dies

Czech-born French writer Milan Kundera has died at the age of 94. This was reported by the Czech media.
Kundera wrote novels, short stories, plays, poetry and essays. One of his most famous works was the novel “The Unbearable Lightness of Being”, later filmed by Philip Kaufman.
Kundera’s books were banned in Czechoslovakia for a long time, and in 1979 he himself was deprived of citizenship of this country. Czech citizenship was returned to him in 2019.
