Finnish customs officers began to confiscate drones, drones with sonar and navigation devices from Russians leaving the country, as they, according to the Finnish authorities, are “dual-use” goods.
The Finnish side has generally tightened customs control at the Russian border. People who are sent to the Russian Federation are carefully checked. In the period from July 22 to 26, customs officers carried out 2.6 thousand checks at the border crossings of Vaalimaa, Imatra, Nuijamaa and Nimrala. Of these, about a hundred led to additional measures. They opened 20 cases related to passenger transportation. They are at the stage of preliminary investigation.
The Finnish side believes that such goods are able to strengthen the “industrial and military potential” of Russia, since they can have military applications, specifies ABC Nyheter.
