Finnish authorities tighten entry restrictions for Russians

Finland is introducing stricter measures against Russian citizens planning to enter the country. According to information provided by the Finnish Foreign Ministry, from Monday midnight entry will be tightened for Russian businessmen, applicants and property owners. The duration of these restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.
According to the report, businessmen will only be allowed to enter Finland without the possibility of transit to other countries. In addition, Russians coming for business purposes will have to state the reason why their presence in Finland is necessary, according to information received from the Finnish Ministry.
Property owners are also required to justify the need for a personal visit to the country.
Students will be allowed to participate in educational programs leading to a degree or qualification. Course attendance is not subject to these restrictions, according to information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
