Finland did not support the transfer of F / A 18-Hornet fighters to Ukraine

The Finnish authorities are not yet considering the possibility of transferring American-made F / A 18-Hornet fighters decommissioned in 2025 to Ukraine. This was stated by Finnish Defense Minister Anti Kaikkonen.
According to the Finnish minister, in 2025 the aircraft will be decommissioned from the Finnish Air Force. Instead, in 2026, the country will receive the F-35, fifth-generation American fighters.
However, until 2025, Finland itself will need fighters. After 2025, their service life will end and the transfer to Ukraine will be inappropriate, the minister noted.
