Fines for parking on green spaces can amount to up to 300 thousand rubles

Fines for parking on green spaces, including lawns, plants and roots, for Moscow residents can reach from 5 to 300 thousand rubles. In addition, such a violation damages the city’s ecology, the press service of the Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (MADI) reported to RIA Novosti.

“In the capital, fines under Article 8.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Moscow are issued for parking a car in green spaces. We urge drivers to be careful and avoid parking outside the asphalt or curb, as well as near trees and bushes. For violation of parking rules in such areas, even for one wheel, fines of five thousand rubles for individuals and up to 300 thousand rubles for legal entities may be imposed,” the press service reported.

MADI was reminded that green spaces include not only thick green grass, but also all other plants and their roots.

“Such violations damage the city’s ecology, since cars damage the fertile layer of soil, harm the roots of trees and other plants. In addition, car wheels spread dust and dirt through the streets, which worsens the health of people, especially those suffering from allergies, and spoils the appearance of Moscow In 2024, MADI inspectors recorded 7 thousand such cases,” the press service emphasized.

The department added that if the driver does not agree with the fine, he can file an appeal. This can be done online on the mos.ru website in the MADI section. Each case will be considered individually.
