Financial Literacy Festival to be held at 100 venues in the capital

How to draw up a family budget, on what scale the payment of interest on a mortgage is calculated, what is the correct way to work in the securities market, what is an entrepreneurial culture.

The 6th Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurial Culture Festival, which will be held on September 24, will be devoted to these and many other issues. As the head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science Alexander Molotkov noted, the events will be held at one hundred venues in the capital, including schools, colleges, palaces of creativity, universities, libraries, social service centers. Moreover, part will be held online, and part in full-time mode.

— Successful entrepreneurs of the city will traditionally hold meetings with students of schools and colleges, share their success stories. And experts in financial literacy will give advice related to personal finances, starting a business,” said Alexander Molotkov.

Forum participants and online activities are expected: everyone will be shown educational videos and interviews on topics related to personal finance, taxation, and entrepreneurship.

— Our main goal is to ensure that services and tools for obtaining financial knowledge are included in the modern urban environment and meet the needs of Muscovites. One of the ideas is to create an opportunity to receive financial education in close proximity to the place of residence,” said Elena Zyabbarova, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Finance.

This year, a varied program was prepared by 7 leading Moscow economic universities. Not only students, but also everyone will be able to visit the sites. And universities will hold some events specifically for older Muscovites.
