The structures of the capital’s mayor’s office announced a tender for the construction of an automobile bridge connecting the Filevsky Park area with Shelepikha near Moscow City. The 300-meter arch bridge was originally designed by the German bureau Leonhardt, Andra und Partner, who proposed to add two bicycle zones 5.75 m and 9.25 m wide to four car lanes. But in the final project, the size of the latter was cut to 4.5 m. Previously, the authorities announced the construction of three more bridges nearby, including a four-lane structure between Mnevniki and Myasishcheva Street and a “sail” bridge with a single pylon on Novozavodskaya Street in the neighborhood.

The tender for the construction of the bridge “in the alignment of Beregovoe proezd with the reconstruction of the adjacent road network” was announced by the Department of Road and Bridge Construction, subordinate to the mayor’s office. The reinforced concrete structure on seven pillars in the Filevsky Park area will actually be a continuation of the Beregovoye passage, which will stretch across the Moscow River to the Shelepikha area, reaching 3rd Magistralnaya Street. The tender documentation states that the length of the bridge will be about 315 m, but to connect it with 3rd Magistralnaya Street, a driveway of about the same length and about 1 km of ramps will have to be built. The construction is estimated at 14.6 billion rubles, applications are accepted until December 26.

The preparation of the architectural concept of the bridge in the Moscow Committee for Architecture was reported in April 2022. The chief architect of Moscow, Sergey Kuznetsov, then noted that international consortiums of architects were involved in the work (the authorities designed seven buildings in different parts of the city), and the bridge in Filevsky Park was planned to be decorated with “red elements to form a vivid visual image of the territory.” It should be noted that the building in Beregovoy Proyezd was originally designed by the German engineering bureau Leonhardt, Andra und Partner (in cooperation with TPO Pride LLC), which proposed to throw an arch bridge across the Moscow River, adding four car lanes of this structure with two cycling zones – a width of 5.75 m and 9.25 m, respectively. In the presentation materials of the German bureau, it was specified that a pedestrian zone was provided on one side of the bridge, and a bicycle path on the other. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin spoke about a similar configuration in April 2022. However, in the final project (it was made by the Giprostroymost Institute) in the tender documentation, the pedestrian zones were reduced and became symmetrical – 4.5 m on each side.

In April 2022, Sergei Sobyanin announced the readiness of the concepts of four more bridges in the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain in the neighborhood. Among them is a 276-meter four-lane road bridge connecting Myasishcheva Street with the Mnevniki metro area, as well as a “sail” bridge with a single pylon in the neighborhood on Novozavodskaya Street. Two road bridges will redistribute traffic flows from the North-Western Expressway (SZH), it was said then in the presentation of the city hall. To the south, a 130-meter cycling bridge was designed to connect the floodplain with Fili Park (the coordinates of the structure were not published). It was planned to connect the opposite bank of the Mnevnikovskaya floodplain with a 128-meter cycling bridge with Ostrovnaya Street. In 2021, the city authorities announced a series of tenders worth more than 8 billion rubles. for the construction of new passages and overpasses in the floodplain, connecting bridges with the SZH, but all these competitions were later canceled by officials with virtually no explanation.

The city authorities previously reported on the design of two more crossings in other locations. A 240-meter pedestrian bridge is to appear in the Nagatinsky backwater, which will connect the new metro station of the same name with the pedestrian embankment near Korabelnaya Street. Finally, a pedestrian bridge was designed in the center of Moscow across the Vodootvodny Canal: it should connect Balchug Island (in the area of the monument to Peter the Great) with 3rd Golutvinsky Lane.
