Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov and his wife, world champion Oksana Domnina, will take part in the tournament of the Russian Challenge show program, the Championship portal reported. The tournament will take place on March 9 at the Yubileiny sports complex in St. Petersburg.

As Kostomarov noted, they will perform outside the competition. This year, 40 athletes entered the tournament. Its prize fund is 15 million rubles. In the first “Russian Challenge” the winner was Olympic champion Alexey Yagudin.

As MK in St. Petersburg reported, Roman Kostomarov will speak in St. Petersburg in the production “Together and Forever” together with Elena Berezhnaya. The performance is scheduled for March 26.

Let us recall that in January 2023, the 47-year-old athlete was in intensive care with pneumonia and was placed in a medically induced coma. Due to sepsis, he began to have problems with blood circulation, so doctors were forced to amputate both feet and hands of Kostomarov. Despite this, he returned to the ice.
