Olympic figure skating champion Anna Shcherbakova was diagnosed with mononucleosis, the athlete temporarily stopped training. It is reported by the portal Sport24.
“Anna was diagnosed with mononucleosis,” the source of the TASS agency confirmed.
In August last year, Shcherbakova underwent surgery due to a torn posterior horn of the meniscus. In connection with these, the girl did not perform at the national championship and tournaments of the Russian Grand Prix series.

On June 16, the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation recorded Shcherbakova in the reserve squad of applicants for the Russian national team for the next season.
