At the Junior Grand Prix in Samara, 16-year-old figure skater Varvara Medvedeva fell on the ice while supporting her partner. She was taken to the hospital for examination, reports TASS.

She falls backwards onto the ice and hits her head. After Medvedeva falls, she gets up on her own.
As told “RIA News” The figure skater’s coach, Philip Tarasov, had a CT scan performed on Medvedeva at the hospital, but no serious injuries were found. The figure skater had a minor cut on her head, but they decided not to apply stitches.
The fifth stage of the Grand Prix takes place from November 15 to 19 in Samara. Medvedeva and Astakhov were third after the short program. The couple was able to complete the program and took fifth place with a score of 158.37 points.
