In Tula, fans of sports and martial arts celebrated the 85th anniversary of sambo.
On the day of this courageous and beautiful sport, the SSHOR “Yunost” opened competitions with the participation of one hundred and twenty sambists from the Tula region.
The Minister of Sports of the Tula Region Dmitry Yakovlev conveyed the Governor’s welcoming words to the athletes.
“Sambo is a popular sport in the Tula region. More than two thousand people practice it in eleven municipalities. Conditions have been created for athletes in eighteen organizations,” the regional sports department reported.
