The International Football Federation (FIFA) will not ban the Brazilian national team and its clubs from international competitions. This follows from the federation’s decision to reinstate Ednaldo Rodriguez, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), the portal writes. Inside the Games.
On December 25, FIFA warned the CBF that it could suspend the Brazilian national team and clubs from participation due to potential interference in the election of the federation’s new president. On December 7, a court in Rio de Janeiro removed Ednaldo Rodriguez and his subordinates from office, arguing that violations had been identified during the organization of the elections for the president of the federation in 2022.
On January 4, the Federal Supreme Court ordered the reinstatement of Ednaldo Rodriguez. Two days later Mr. Rodriguez fired head coach of the national team Fernando Diniz. Then the decision was explained by the fact that Mr. Diniz combined his position with work as a coach at the Fluminense club.
