From August 19 to 28, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve will host a landscape festival of historical gardens for the fifth time. It will present 10 miniatures of various parks. Tours, lectures, open meetings and much more await visitors.
At the event, architects and landscape designers will present five large compositions (100 sq. m each) and five small ones (20 sq. m each). Large thumbnails can be accessed.
Visitors will see the garden “Introduction” by architect Oksana Brovkina. In her work, she used plants brought to Russia in the era of Peter I.
The Orenburg Shawl Garden, designed by architects Ekaterina Chukhas, Evgenia Vorontsova, Maria Badina and Ksenia Eremina, is filled with translucent perennial herbs and woven with metal thread.
In the center of the hundred-meter garden “Graceful Game” there is a chessboard, the prototype of which was the fountain of the same name in Peterhof.
On August 20, Houseplant Day will be held, where gardening lovers will be able to share their experience. On August 27, the Day of Ceramics will be held with a “Ceramic Picnic” and a one-day exhibition “Flora and Fauna of Distant Planets”.
