The Basmanny Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for two months for the deputy head of the Federal Customs Service, Colonel General Elena Yagodkina, who is accused of issuing excise stamps with the help of which counterfeit alcohol products were sold. This was reported by the telegram channel “Courts of General Jurisdiction”.

The investigator in court noted that Yagodkina issued more than 800 thousand excise stamps to Vinograd LLC, which did not report on its use. Despite this, Yagodkina extended the deadline and this made it possible to subsequently issue another 3,270 excise stamps to Vinograd LLC and more than 2 thousand to Flian LLC. As a result, according to investigators, this resulted in non-payment of taxes and fees in the amount of 1 billion 228 million rubles.

Yagodkina stated that she did not admit guilt, and her defense insisted on stopping the crime.
