The obligation to inform is assigned to both the organizers and members of the tour groups.

Changes to the Decree of the Government of Russia “On Certain Issues of Ensuring the Safety of Tourism”, which will make travel less risky, have been prepared by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The document, submitted for public discussion, prescribes to notify the territorial body of the ministry about your trip immediately before entering the route. You need to inform the rescuers about your intention to go on a trip even now. True, in accordance with the current regulations, this must be done at least 10 working days before the start of the hike. The current document stipulates that the local authority of the Ministry of Emergency Situations should be notified about the routes of movement passing through difficult terrain, water, mountain, speleological and other objects associated with an increased risk to life. The new draft does not contain this clause, but instead it is emphasized that rescuers must be informed of all journeys that require accompaniment by an instructor-guide. The obligation to inform is assigned both to the organizers of hikes, and to tourists and tour groups, including those with minors.
